Found somewhere in Boston.
MIT footage of a drive through Cambridge and Boston circa ~1962. I fault MIT here for getting the date wrong on this. The video says this was shot in 1958, but there’s no way this can be true, as during the drive you can see an either finished or under-construction Pru. Therefore, this video must have been shot after 1960 when construction on the Prudential Tower began
As best I can tell, the chronology of neighborhoods and areas hit goes like this: Harvard Square/JFK Street Cambridge, Memorial Drive, Central Square Cambridge, Longfellow Bridge, West End/MGH, Government Center, Downtown & Boston Common via Tremont Street, South End, Southie, Carson Beach, Dorchester Heights, back through the South End via Berkeley Street, past the Old Hancock Tower, intersection w/ Comm. Ave, Storrow Drive, Fenway>Riverway>Jamaicaway, Leverett Pond, ???Brookline???, Allston/Brighton, Soldier’s Field Rd, Anderson Bridge, Harvard Square.
